Going to the extremes of sharpening,
polishing, and measuring
01
Outer diameter
±0.1µm
Outer diameter precision of the pin shaft
We have a past track record of manufacturing to ±0.1 highest µm (±0.0001 mm), which is currently the highest precision level of accuracy required.
These products have a wide range of applications, such as for the master pin gauge used for calibrating measuring instruments.
02
Degree of circularity of 0.06 µm
The degree of circularity is one of the important tolerances for round bars, indicating "allowable tolerance for divergence from a geometrically correct circle." If the outer diameter is within the tolerance but the degree of circularity is poor, the product may not be able to perform its function. Therefore, our company has established its own strict internal standards.
In general, the accuracy of the degree of circularity for ultra-precision pin gauges is 0.3 µm. However, our company has a past track record of reaching a degree of circularity of 0.06 µm in response to requests for 0.1 µm or lower.
03
Cylindricity degree: 0.183 µm
Cylindricity degree indicates the "allowable tolerance for divergence from a geometrically correct cylinder." In accordance with the usage purpose of products, there are an increasing number of cases in which a cylindricity degree of 1 µm or less is required.
Our company has instruments that can measure the degree of cylindricity and also attach measurement data.
04
Surface roughness Ra 0.0239 µm
We can achieve this surface roughness by using mechanical grinding conducted with a diamond whetstone.
We can also conduct hand wrap processing in accordance with the product shape.
We have every kind of grindstone available, so please consult with us regarding the surface roughness of the product.
We can also attach the measurement data for the surface roughness.
05
Thin line processing and length processing with centerless grinding
Thin line processing has a past track record of processing the smallest diameter of "φ0.01- for stepped type" and "φ0.05- for straight type." Its main use is as a pin gauge for conducting measurements.
We are now taking on the challenge of manufacturing a pin gauge with a diameter of a few μm to meet needs for further thinning.
In length processing for round bars, we have a past track record of a maximum of 2,000 mm.
Our company's centerless length processing is in use in the manufacture of jigs for nickel titanium tubes for medical use and precise coating process.
